Audi is set to wow Super Bowl viewers this year with their new ad called "Chase."
This time around they have brought on super star actor Jason Statham as "Audi aims to create as much on-screen excitement in its second Super Bowl ad as the players create on the field." This is Audi's second year in a row with a Super Bowl ad.

Inspired by iconic Hollywood chase scenes, actor Jason Statham, known for his action-packed roles in the “Transporter” series, “Snatch” and “The Bank Job,” rushes from decade to decade to avoid capture, trying to find a vehicle to aid his getaway. He finds that several other luxury vehicles fail to get the job done. That is, until he finds the supercharged Audi A6, the company’s redesigned, mid-sized luxury sedan. This ad will mark Jason Statham’s first time doing a Super Bowl commercial."
This is new exciting vehicle from Audi most because of the engine that is sitting under the hood which is the same engine found in the new Audi S4. Looking at the specs between the two cars it appears that the 3.0 TFSI V6 found in the supercharged A6 will be slightly detuned to 300 horsepower while the S4 engine has 330 horsepower.
There are no performance specs on the supercharged V6 found in the A6 but the S4 does the note to sixty in 5.1 seconds ,so the A6 shouldn't be too far off. Of course the Audi A6 3.0 TFSI V6 will come only available with Tiptronic and Quattro only. More specifically the engine "combines two state-of-the-art technologies in perfect style – gasoline direct injection and compressor supercharging." Customers can look for the A6 with this engine sometime later this year.
Overall Audi's intentions for the ad is to send the message that Audi is the "most progressive choice amongst other luxury competitiors." Audi will be leaving other luxury car makers in the dust as it appears that they are the only luxury brand that has a top spot in advertising in the upcoming Super Bowl. One thing is for sure even if there are are boring teams in the Super Bowl Audi will be bringing the heat again with one very exciting advertisement.
