What your looking at are official shots of the new Aston Martin Rapide , Aston's hot new four door saloon.These photos leaked online just over the past day at various automotive web sites.
Expect the new Rapide to be a DB9 but with two extra doors in the back meaning the same great driving excitement of the DB9 with room for four occupants. The car is speculated to be more expensive than its rival such as the Porsche Panamera or the Maserati Quattroporte. So what's under the bonnet?
Drivers can expect a 6.0 liter V12 engine to grace the engine bay of the car according to the publication Autocar.co.uk. With 480 bhp it will be one fast Aston but of course with the addition of the saloon architecture this car wil be obviously heavier and what these means for performance numbers compared to other Aston models in unknown. It is highly likely that a Touchtronic transmission will be found in the new Aston Martin Rapide with ZF technology.
Production for the all new super saloon will happen at the Magna Steyr plant in Austria. The Rapide could bow at the Geneva show in March.
