We have been receiving some emails about "which cars fall under the nations Cash for Clunkers program": a program that has recently just been extended due to great performance. This program is rumored to run through the weekend to help buyers get into more newer and fuel efficient vehicles.
Yahoo News reported via the AP that the House has voted to rush an additional "$2 billion into the popular but financially strapped "cash for clunkers" car program."
Some luxury cars that fall under this list are cars like the 1992 BMW 8 Series,1997 BMW 7 Series, the 1994 Audi V8, 2000 Audi A6 (V6 model non turbo), 2000 Land Rover Range Rover, 1997 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and the 1994 Porsche 968.

Myabe I am not a “wise Latina,” but I am a 59 year old white male who has purchased small, gas saving vehicles my entire life to hopefully benefit our environment.
When asked if I was eligible at a local dealer for the cash for clunkers program, I was told no because I own a gas saver.
How sad it is for me to witness owners of $50000 SUV’s trade in their vehicles for a slight gas savings only to finish the purchase with cash.
Being of the lower middle class, this make me puke.
How sad, Obama.

It is hard for me to do, but I believe it is time to get rid of my Discovery II. Even though I cringe at the thought of it being crushed.
