The hugely popular GT Racer series, produced for TV and sold on DVD through Spirit Level Film, is back for a second series (GT Racer Season II) with legendary race cars and coverage of iconic events such as the Le Mans Classic.
With the race taking place next month, July 10-11, at the Circuit de la Sarthe, GT Racer II, puts you in the thick of the action for this memorable event with in-car footage of priceless GT sportscars plus a glorious engine soundtrack.
GT Racer brings feature film style, with documentary coverage to the world of classic racing. There’s stunning photography from four races, including the Le Mans Classic, the 500km Marathon on Germany’s Nurburgring, an event on the French Grand Prix circuit at Magny Cours and probably the toughest race in the world, the legendary Carrera Panamericana in Mexico which lasts seven days and covers 3,200km.
Watch Cobras, Aston Martins, Jaguars, Ferraris, Austin Healeys and even rarer sportscars including a Bizzarrini GT, battle it out on track. The drivers are amateurs, racing for the pure thrill of competition, the cars simply stunning and the on track action breathtaking at times - in one race, an E-Type Jaguar plays cat and mouse with a Shelby Cobra until the Cobra driver spins harmlessly off the track, leaving the road open for the Jaguar to power past.
GT Racer Season II is Classic sportscar racing at its very best, producer Alexander Davidis having done a truly fantastic job of capturing the spirit of the races – and the DVD is priced at a very reasonable £24.99 including VAT.
