Paris Auto Show news
Saab is on the rebound fellow car friends and they like other luxury brands have an electric car in the works.
Named the 9-3 ePower this new Saab will be the first electric offering from the Saab brand which is now owned by Spyker.
The 9-3 ePower will be a true all electric vehicle based upon the 9-3 Sportwagen which means it will be economical and able to carry some serious cargo.
"Taking centre stage and making its world premiere in Paris is the unique Saab 9-3 ePower, an all-electric version of the 9-3 SportWagon. It is Saab’s first step towards developing an all-electric vehicle and represents an important step forward for Saab’s pursuit of delivering cleaner and sustainable mobility solutions. A test fleet of 70 ePower cars will begin user trials in Sweden early next year."
Just how fast it is?
By no means comparable to a "Viggen Saab" this electric Saab will do note to sixty in just 8.5 seconds. The expected range for the car is 124 miles of electric driving fun.
