There is a new MINI model for the streets and it is the MINI Coupe. The anticipated new MINI Coupe is revealed below on video where you can get the first video impressions of the new sporty and luxury coupe in action. The video itself is a preview of three different MINI Coupe commercials mashed up together in a movie trailer.
The design of this new MINI is somewhat controversial as some are "iffy" on the roofline of this car. It looks somewhat smushed but I guess that adds to the sporty character to the car. Luckily there is a John Cooper Works version in the pipeline which will bring this car to sixty in the low 6 second range. That will make you forget about that "helmet roof" (as BMW calls it).
Look for the MINI Coupe to go on sale this fall in the USA. European drivers will get their hands on this new MINI first. The base price of the car is $22,000 according to the WSJ.
