No flowers in the front of this Beetle...
There is a VW Beetle that I want in my garage: it is the Beetle R. Debuting at the LA Auto Show this week this is one bad boy Beetle for sure.
Just look at it , or better yet pop the hood. The Beetle R Concpet ( yes just a concept) is powered by a 2.0 litre four-cylinder turbocharged unit providing 270 PS.
If you are thinking you see some Scirocco R in this Beetle you are thinking correctly. It has nearly identical wheels and the same mirrors from the European VW hatchback.
The back end reminds me of the Audi TT-RS with those quad tail lamps and the aerodyamic wing. In the end this car is just a concept and a way for VW to build buzz about the the Beetle and the brand. Looks like they won...
Then again you could buy a stock Beetle and add all of these modifications to resemble the R on your own. I'm sure some hardcore fanatics will do so and you will see it on the forums.
