Winged B dreams...
The Bentley you might have seen in Munich over the past few weeks was the latest publicity stunt for the new Bentley Continental GT. The exact car in air was a red 4.0 litre V8 Continental GT coupe. Bentley upped the luxury features and design on the new Continental and wanted to make the launch of the car a little more special by making the new car "fly."
Klaus Becker, General Manager of Bentley Munich, who organised the show-stopping helicopter lift commented:
“A dramatic car got the debut we felt it deserved and we took a little bit of our inspiration from Bentley’s iconic ‘Winged B’ emblem. On a practical level the helicopter was the fastest way to get to the rooftop podium.”
If your in the market for an upscale super luxury coupe then the Continental is for you. The burble from 4.0 V8 is intoxicating and driving a Bentley means you are part of distinguished group of drivers. If the new GT had wings it could probably take off as it can speed all the way up to 188 mph.
