Driving the new Audi S3, might leave you wanting more performance from the S Car. This is where German tuner MTM makes things better. The MTM tuned Audi S3 features more horses, better handling and brakes to die for.
Better performance and higher torque
The TFSI-motor borrowed from parent company VW, is really ideal for tuning revisions. Directly off the assembly line, the turbo engine of Audi S3 already has an impressive 265 HP. One would imagine this alone is enough. Yet, just experiencing the difference proves a visit to mtm is really worth while. In its first stage, mtm replaces the motor electronics. This procedure alone upgrades power to 310 HP/228 kW as well as torque to 400 Nm (Series: 350 Nm). Whoever selects a mtm resonator and the mtm rear silencer receives an additional 5 HP and 5 Nm. The hottest version receives even more components from mtm to boot. With the mtm front silencer and a front pipe with metallic catalysatic converter, performance increases to a powerful 330 HP and torque of 420 Nm. With this addition, in just 5,1 seconds 0 to 100 km/h is reached and a maximum speed up to 264 km/h obtainable.
Naturally, mtm ensures durability for all its parts. Customers benefit from the extensive experience mtm has gathered for example from the TT bimoto®.
As can be expected, all parts described above for the exhaust system are available seperately for the Audi S3 2.0 TFSI. Either the rear silencer with exhaust flap control alone or together with the complete catalytic converter system. Both tail pipes, each with a diameter of 80 mm, look far more impressive than the series-produced parts. From each excapes a sound that one generally only experiences on the race track.

The Audi TT yas yet to release
in the USA but overseas tuner MTM has already graced it with its tuning
presence. The MTM tuned Audi TT features an upgraded turbo engine,
aerodynamic components, more throaty exhaust, and more aggressive
Bi-moto wheels. (These Bi-moto wheels are some of the best - and would
be on my list for tuning my Audi right up there with BBS
rims-www.bbs.com).
I
think this TT will be a huge hit yet again for Audi and this MTM-TT is
something to tide Consumers over until S-line versions and R versions
appear on the market- which wont be
until at least a year after the TT hits US shores. Check out the article from mtm-online for more information.
MTM expertise from the race circuit
The
heart of the MTM-TT is the 2.0 TFSI with 200 bhp. After being souped up
by MTM, the direct-injection turbo petrol engine outputs at least 245
bhp (355 Nm at 1,850 rpm). In addition to this, MTM offers 250 (363
Nm/1,850 rpm), 272 (370 Nm/1,850 rpm), and a breathtaking 313 bhp (395
Nm/ 3,230 rpm) versions, which impress drivers with superior
performance. MTM customers benefit here from the vast experience MTM
has built up, for example, with the TT bimoto. Only recently, on
September 12, 2006, the TT bimoto powered by two turbo-charged 1.8
liter four cylinder engines generating over 860 bhp reached 385 km/h on
the Papenburg test track, setting a new track record in doing so. On
the same track, which only has one 4 km long straight, MTM is hoping to
break the 400 km/h barrier in the near future!
Power boosts for
the TT with 3.2 V6 engine will shortly be available. In an initial
stage, MTM increases the engine output to 280 bhp by means of modified
camshafts and changes to the air filter and muffler system. 340 bhp are
available in the second stage, which the V6 engine generates with the
aid of an MTM supercharger. This puts the MTM TT hot on the heels of
the 911!
To create a sound befitting of the additional power,
MTM offers - both for the 2.0 TFSI and for the 3.2 V6 - a stainless
steel exhaust system with a 70 mm pipe guide. This can be combined
either with a 4-pipe rear muffler (4x89mm) or a 2-pipe rear silencer
(2x89mm) from MTM. Both rear mufflers can be used with the standard
rear apron. For the 2.0 TFSI, which normally only has recesses on the
left for the tailpipes, tuning specialist MTM offers a rear apron lower
section featuring an additional recess on the right. The lower section
is also used for the 3.2 V6. MTM also offers the 4-pipe rear muffler
with exhaust gas flap control, which helps to generate an even sportier
sound.
Sporty wheel rims are a must. The TT acquires a
considerably more individual look when kitted out with MTM
in-house-developed "Bimoto" rims. This wheel rim is strictly no frills
and, thanks to its linear design, constitutes the perfect match for the
TT with its sleek appearance. Two attractive finishes in the form of
"Shiny Silver" and "Polished Titanium" are available for this elegantly
sporty rim. The "Bimoto" is currently available in both finishes in the
format 8.5 x 19 ET 50 with size 255/35-19 tires. MTM will shortly be
offering the rim also in the format 9.5 x 19 ET 45 with 255/30-19
tires, likewise in both finishes.
As regards the brakes, MTM
provides customers with a number of concepts to choose from. Enhanced
deceleration is ensured even by the entry-level version in the
dimension 330x32. For drivers who run their TTs on 18" wheels, the
365x34 system constitutes a larger variant in the range. Those drivers
who occasionally put their TTs through their paces should opt for the
380x34 system. As regards the brake discs, MTM pays particular
attention to achieving an optimum weight saving compared with the
competition. This is possible, for instance, by means of larger cooling
ducts.
An extensive aerodynamics kit is currently in the
pipeline and will shortly be available for the TT. According to MTM's
general rule, special requests are also catered to. As such, customized
conversions are also undertaken!
